TMC Helps In Red River Emergency

Press Release posted on 04/08/2009

On Thursday, March 27th, four TMC trucks loaded with flood control equipment ran through the night to deliver their much needed cargo to Fargo, N.D ., to assist with the Red River emergency.

These emergency loads were coordinated by Homeland Security, the Army Corps of Engineers and the Iowa and North Dakota National Guard.  TMC was more than happy to assist in any way possible and immediately dispatched four drivers to Camp Dodge to be loaded.

TMC drivers Vincent Vaughn (92152), Scotty Miller (91635), James Headley Jr. (81372) and Thomas Browner (91184) exhibited outstanding teamwork as they worked together securing the four loads. The caravan drove through the night and arrived the next morning to the devastated area.

“It was terrible there,” comments Scotty Miller. “Everything was covered in ice. I was very glad to have the opportunity to help out.”

James Headley echoes Miller and says, “It was a little tricky getting in there because there were so many cars just abandoned on the streets and everything was covered in ice. I was excited that we were able to help out and make a difference.”
