Driver of the Quarter – Douglas Wolf

Douglas Wolf

When Douglas Wolf had enough of factory work he decided to try his hand a driving. After attending CDL school he knew he wanted to drive for TMC.

"I didn't really care about doing flatbed or van etc., I just knew that I wanted to drive for TMC," he comments. "I had just heard such great things about it. I came right out of school and have been here ever since."

In April, Wolf will have been with TMC for 11 years. During those years he has worked hard and kept an impeccable safety record. For this he has been chosen TMC's Driver of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2009. Wolf will now be eligible for TMC's prestigious Wheel Master Award given to one driver each year.

Wolf currently drives on TMC's Alcoa dedicated account and credits his success to his work ethic. "I guess I just have always known what needed to get done and went and did it."

"Doug is hard worker and very easy to get along with," says fleet manger Brent Funk. "He will do whatever is needed and does things the right way."

Douglas appreciates driving on dedicated because the home time is more predictable and he often gets home during the week. "I like to get home to see my wife and granddaughter every weekend."

Wolf and his wife of 35 years have two daughters, one granddaughter and another grandchild on the way. When he isn't driving, he enjoys snowmobiling, something he enjoyed recently over the holidays, boating and working on old cars.

Congratulations to Doug and thank you for your great work.
