Message from the CEO

There is probably no year in our 37 years of business that I have welcomed more enthusiastically than 2010. While we won't soon forget 2009 and its trials, there is much to look forward to in this New Year.

TMC started the year off on a positive note by beginning installation of 100 new APUs. The project, aimed at lowering idle time and reducing emissions, is funded by the Iowa DNR RIDE grant. These 100 APUs will reduce TMC's diesel emissions by 1,725 tons annually. (Click here to read more on the grant.)

This month, TMC will complete the nomination process and choose its annual Wheel Master. The Wheel Master is the most prestigious award bestowed on a TMC driver. They are the best of the best. We have a long list of candidates who represent millions of safe miles driven, thousands of loads delivered and a level of professionalism unmatched in the industry. Narrowing down just one driver for the honor may be a problem, but it is a nice problem to have.

This year I look forward to doing what we have always done ... working hard and providing the best possible service to our customers.
